1.NATURE OF THE WORK. The Blackwall Trilogy (the “Work”) is a non-commercial, fan-created work of interactive fiction and a capture-the-flag (CTF) exercise, produced and distributed solely for educational and security-research purposes. All characters, organizations, systems, vulnerabilities, communications, and events depicted in the Work are entirely fictional. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or deceased, or to actual entities or computer systems, is coincidental and unintended.
2.THIRD-PARTY INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY. The Work references settings, terminology, and characters owned by third parties. Such references are made under principles of nominative fair use and for purposes of commentary, parody, and homage. The creators of the Work assert no claim of ownership over any third-party intellectual property.
2.1Cyberpunk. The Cyberpunk tabletop role-playing game, together with its associated settings, factions, and terminology, is the intellectual property of R. Talsorian Games, Inc., created by Mike Pondsmith. The video game Cyberpunk 2077 and related adaptations are the intellectual property of CD Projekt S.A. and its studio CD Projekt RED. The creators of the Work claim no rights in the foregoing and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by R. Talsorian Games, Inc. or CD Projekt S.A.
2.2Hatsune Miku. Hatsune Miku and related Piapro characters are the intellectual property of Crypton Future Media, Inc. Depictions of such characters within the Work are non-commercial derivative works created by fans. The creators of the Work claim no rights in the foregoing and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Crypton Future Media, Inc.
3.CREDITED ASSETS. All musical compositions and visual artwork incorporated into the Work are used with the permission of their respective creators, each of whom retains full ownership of, and all rights in, their work.
4.NO WARRANTY. The Work is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. The creators assume no liability for any claim, damage, or loss arising from access to or use of the Work.
